The role has the responsibility to deliver parts to our commercial customers and assist with task and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part time or full time and must be fleet safety certified.Primary ResponsibilitiesSafely deliver parts to customers as neededPick and stage parts for customer ordersPick up returns and coresDrop off weekly / monthly sales flyerDaily collection of credit accountsSecondary ResponsibilitiesStore Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lotGeneral stocking including truck stocking and back stockSuccess FactorsBasic driving and navigation abilityAbility to use delivery board systemFriendly communicationAbility to locate and stock partsSafety knowledge and skillsOperating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipmentEssential Job Skills Necessary For Success As a DriverCommunicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and managementRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manualsUse basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as neededPrior ExperienceAutomotive Parts Experience Is PreferredCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certifiedPhysical DemandsThe employee must be able to walk or stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is usually indoors while occasionally outdoors and exposed to weather conditions. Tasks may involve moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, toxic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration.
