Duration: 06 months Temp to Hire

Location: Houston, TX 77041

Shift: 5:00AM TO 5:30PM

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr. W2

SCHEDULE: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY - 5:00AM TO 5:30PM - SATURDAYS NEEDED DEPENDING ON WORKLOAD (HALF-DAY)

TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:

- GOOD WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION

- PROFICIENT IN COMPUTER USAGE - OUTLOOK, EXCEL, WORD, ADOBE

- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE USING OFFICE COPIER TO SCAN AND COPY DOCUMENTS

- MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK

MAIN WORK DUTIES:

- SHIP AND RECEIVE ORDERS FOR THE GAUGE LAB.

- LEARN CALIBRATION SOFTWARE AND PROCEDURES

- PERFORM INSPECTION AND MAINTAIN FILES OF DOCUMENTS

- TRACK SHIPMENTS AND UPDATE ACCORDINGLY

JOB SUMMARY:

Prepare and maintain records related to the Metrology Lab processes. Perform shipping and receiving processes. Maintain and control measuring equipment and calibration files.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform receiving inspection of equipment. Operates forklift.

- Perform status updates in the software database.

- Prepare Routers and maintain files of documents.

- Cleans equipment for calibration and applies protection wax for shipments.

- Maintain and arrange measuring equipment orders flow for calibration.

- Prepare and coordinate failed equipment into Quarantine.

- Coordinating and tracking of loan gages.

- Strive for continuous improvement in facility safety and quality.

- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Able to pass the Color and Acuity eye test.

- Knowledge of personal computers and versatility in their usage.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or GED.

- Experience in shipping and receiving or inspection and measuring is highly preferred

- Must be able to read and write in English.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Maintaining orderly control of company-owned tools and gauges to provide a timely supply of calibrated measuring equipment to various departments, work groups, and other facilities.

- Maintaining calibration records on all measuring and testing equipment.

- Coordinating and tracking the loan and use of calibrated company equipment.

- Review and apply the calibration procedures and documentation requirements necessary to ensure compliance.

- Prepare Routers from RigDocs and Packing List for incoming calibration orders.

- Verify Routers have been satisfied prior to releasing the gages from the Metrology Lab.

- Scan Routers and add to Gage Router Folder/Completed Router Goals Folder.

- Update status of gages in a software system.

- Run Due for Calibration reports and email contacts.

- Collect gages due for calibration in the Metrology Lab area.

- Ship and receive orders for the Metrology Lab.

- Works in the Metrology Lab environment setting on computer 50% of the day, 50% cleaning, preparing and shipping gage processes.
