Electrical Journeyman
Role is responsible for performing all electrical tasks with general supervision. Can demonstrate experience factors exceeding an electrical helper and is sufficient on rough-in work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install feeders, wire and conduit
- Switchgear and device installations and terminations
- Layout and preparation for installation
- Perform underground layout and rough-in
- Troubleshooting on motors and controls
- Possess skills to complete lower job title (apprentice) work
- Fully comprehends Electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Must have personal tools with them at all times
- Must wear personal protective equipment at all times
- Work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights
- Sound eye sight to positively identify colors of wires
- Be able to bend conduit with hand or with mechanical benders
- Operate trenches, back hoe, and lift in a safe manner
- Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or with power equipment
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
- Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
- Valid driver's license required

Technical Skills:
- Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics
- Practices and comprehends Enertech safety policy
Soft Skills :
- Strong communication and team working skills
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.
Travel
Extensive travel is required for this position. Usually between 80 to 100% of the time.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
- Current Journeyman
- 4 years previous electrical experience required
