With operations in Houston, McAllen, and Chicago, we focus on quality, reliability, and exceptional customer service while supplying wholesale, retail, and foodservice customers.We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing accounting team.Position SummaryThe Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers and service providers. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficientlyMatch invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentsVerify pricing, quantities, and approvalsPrepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfersReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesMaintain organized AP files and recordsCommunicate with vendors regarding payment status and account issuesAssist with month-end closing proceduresSupport the accounting team with reporting and administrative tasksEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresHelp improve AP workflows and efficiencyQualifications2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferredExperience in produce, distribution, logistics, or wholesale industries is a plusStrong understanding of accounting principles and AP processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systemsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBilingual English/SpanishCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceOpportunities for growth within the companyHealth benefitsPaid time offDynamic and fast-paced work environment
