We are seeking a reliable Shop Helper with a solid manufacturing background to support daily operations in our active machine shop. This entry-to-mid-level role is ideal for an individual looking to utilize their mechanical aptitude and grow their skills alongside experienced operators and machinists.

• Pay Range: $18.00hr
  
• Location: Houston, TX 77041
  
• Steel-toed boots - 1st shift (6:30am-3:30pm)

Core Responsibilities:

• Safely operate hand saws, power tools, and shop equipment to cut and prepare raw materials for production.
  
• Assist machinists and operators with loading and unloading parts, staging materials, and moving work-in-progress components across the floor.
  
• Keep workstations, aisles, and machinery clean, organized, and free of safety hazards to maintain a productive environment.
  
• Follow all workshop safety protocols, wear required PPE (steel toes), and perform basic visual inspections on materials.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is required; experience specifically within a machine shop is highly preferred.
  
• Proven comfort and familiarity with handling a variety of power tools and hand saws.
  
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and regularly lift/move heavy materials.
  
• Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a willingness to take direction from shop leads.
• High School education/GED required
