The Sr. Derivative Accountant is a key member of the finance and accounting team, responsible for interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to complex business transactions. This role supports the office of the CFO, Controller, risk and trading operations, ensuring compliance with the previously mentioned standards. Key Responsibilities:Lead the assessment and documentation of complex transactions including derivatives, revenue recognition, and leases. Partner with trading, risk, legal, and tax departments to evaluate the accounting and controls impact of trading and structured transactions. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes related to complex transactions, including the preparation of all derivative analysis and journal entries.
