2026 Summer Helpers (25 Positions) @ Maintenance Department

Primary Purpose:

To ensure the smooth operation of the Maintenance Department in carrying out assignments in the district.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Work site: Maintenance Department/Various Alief ISD Locations Will perform general maintenance duties including cleaning, painting, grounds and maintenance Ability to work individually or in a team environment Assist other personnel as needed Perform all other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor Report to the Assistant Director of Maintenance & Operations

Work Conditions:

• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Works with frequent interruptions.
• Preparation of materials may involve the packing, moving and lifting of equipment and supplies.
• Continuous walking, standing, lifting

Pay:

2026 Hourly Pay Rate:

High School Student/Diploma: $12.00

College Student (completed 24 hrs): $13.50

Degreed/Adult (21+): $15.00

CTE Intern: $15.00

Work Schedule:

June 1-4, June 8-11, June 15-18, June 22-26, July 6-9, July 13-17

10-hour days most weeks with 30-minute lunch

8-hour days for the week of June 29-July 2, July 20-24 with 1 hour lunch
