About the Role
Under strict supervision, the R&M Electrical Technician I performs repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on downhole electronic tools and components used in Sperry Drilling operations. This includes equipment associated with Directional Drilling, Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS), and MWD/LWD sensors. The technician plays a key role in ensuring equipment availability, tool reliability, and safe operation by following standardized work processes, troubleshooting electrical systems, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Qualifications
Technical school certificate in electronics, electrical technology, instrumentation, or related field OR equivalent experience required. Associate degree or higher preferred. Mechanical and/or electronics aptitude, including ability to work with small components and precision tools. Basic computer proficiency (diagnostic software, data entry, equipment interfaces). Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.
