We are seeking a driven professional to lead and manage an existing portfolio of business across the RINs & LCFS markets (Physical & Financial). This book has been established over several years, and we are looking for a candidate to drive its continued growth. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned broker or an industry expert from an Operations, Scheduling, Analytics, or Sales background looking to pivot into a high-impact commercial role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Transactions: Broker deals between counterparties in the renewable fuels market, with a primary focus on Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) and Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS).
  • Portfolio Management: Maintain and expand an established book of business including Producers, Refiners, Traders, Corporates, and State Municipalities.
  • Market Advisory: Produce industry-leading reports on price trends, spread differentials, and arbitrage opportunities, providing actionable market sentiment to clients.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct daily and weekly analysis of supply/demand factors and geopolitical developments to form "trade snapshots" for industry counterparties.
  • Strategic Consulting: Advise market participants on structuring and monetizing Clean and Renewable fuels via both Spot Transactions and Long-Term Offtake Agreements.

Requirements:

  • Sector Expertise: Proven experience within the Renewable Energy market (specifically RINs or LCFS) at a Brokerage, Trading House, Producer, or Corporate entity.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of product specifications and regulatory compliance surrounding RINs, LCFS, and related environmental products.
  • Commercial Acumen: A natural ability to manage client relationships through daily communication, conferences, and industry events.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in generating market statistics, supply/demand documents, and price trend analysis.
  • Experience: A background in Brokerage, Analytics, Operations, Scheduling, Sales, or Trading within the Renewables space.
  • Licensing: NFA Series 3 license is highly desirable.
  • Location: Based in the Houston area, or open to relocation/remote work within the US.
