Landscape Maintenance Foreman

Lawn Management Company (LMC) is searching for a Landscape Maintenance Foreman for its Central Houston branch to oversee and lead the performance of a variety of lawn care maintenance services for commercial clients. This position is fulltime and benefit eligible and we pay weekly. We are looking for candidates who want a long-term career and we are ready to invest in their growth!

Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform routine landscaping maintenance and landscaping projects.
• Supervise and assist in mowing, trimming/edging, blowing and flower bed cleaning/maintenance.
• Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, string trimmers, edgers and blowers.
• Ensure crew is trained in use of equipment and LMC standards for lawncare maintenance and landscaping.
• Record work hours in company system via (company-supplied) smart phone application.
• Enforce safety company safety policy on the job site by ensuring all crews wear appropriate PPE, identify worksite hazards, and ensure crews are aware of all risks and how to mitigate that risk.
• Drive a truck with crew from site to site. Organize work and stage crew at starting positions for a coordinated meet upon job completion.
• Must work and motivate crew to complete tasks within the time allotted.

Qualifications

• 3 years of landscape/lawn care maintenance experience is required, with at least 1 year of crew supervision
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a must!
• Knowledge of regional plants, shrubs and flowers and their care
• Must be knowledgeable in worksite safety, hazard recognition and use of proper PPE.
• Must be able to read and follow a work schedule and work orders.
• Dependable and punctual attendance is required.
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in landscaping.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk 10+ miles a day
