GIS Technician / GIS Analyst

📍 Houston, TX (CNP Tower) – 4 Days Onsite

🕒 6 Month Contract (Possible Extension)

We are hiring an entry-level GIS Technician / GIS Analyst to support GIS data accuracy, mapping validation, and digitizing activities for a large enterprise environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or junior GIS professionals looking to grow within utilities/infrastructure GIS operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate GIS digitizing standards
• Analyze facility and mapping documentation for GIS accuracy
• Perform GIS data validation and database accuracy checks
• Digitize and update spatial data from maps, CAD drawings, and technical documents
• Work with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS/ESRI and related tools
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve mapping/data quality issues

Required Skills:

• Basic GIS knowledge and mapping concepts
• Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI, AutoDesk, Bentley, or Intergraph
• Understanding of geospatial/spatial data
• Strong computer and database skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
• 0–2 years of GIS experience

Work Details:

• 4 Days Onsite at CNP Tower
• Potential Remote Fridays
