The Dixon Group is looking for a Production Maintenance Technician I to join our team in Houston, TX! This position will handle the upkeep and repair of our production systems. Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, collaborating on process improvements, and solving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Help us maintain a continuous manufacturing flow while developing your technical skills!

What You'll Do:
- Performs routine maintenance and inspections to ensure continuous equipment uptime and operational readiness
- Maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools
- Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery
- Works to fix facility maintenance issues
- Learns to interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches
- Learns to troubleshoot problems and make repairs or replace worn or broken parts as necessary
- May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery
- May perform recycling duties in accordance with established processes
- Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- A willingness to understand machinery; including gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics. This involves knowing how to service, align, and repair these components.
- Ability to learn industrial electrical systems, motor controls, wiring diagrams, AC/DC circuits, sensors and basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- The drive to learn complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical/piping schematics to understand system layout, identify components, and guide assembly or repair
