Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a chemical manufacturing facility in Deer Park, Texas area. This role is responsible for leading production and maintenance teams while driving operational performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations, including production and maintenance activities
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, planning, and customer service teams to optimize production schedules and plant performance
• Drive equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Manage plant KPIs, operating costs, and continuous improvement efforts
• Support capital projects, audit readiness, and long-term operational goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, catalyst manufacturing, or a related process industry
• Prior leadership experience in plant operations or production management
• Strong knowledge of PSM, OSHA, environmental regulations, and manufacturing safety practices
• Experience improving equipment reliability and maintenance performance
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

• ISO 9000 and/or ISO 14000 experience
• Continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
• Budget management and KPI reporting
