Facilities Stationary Engineer
Assignment Type: 6 month contract, potential to extend
Compensation: 30/hour
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5 PM

About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dependable Facilities Stationary Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems and equipment, including chillers, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), pumps, and other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, operate, and adjust building systems to maintain optimal performance, comfort, and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations such as equipment malfunctions, power failures, or urgent repair needs to minimize downtime and risks.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations; actively promote a culture of safety within the facility.
- Collaborate with other facilities personnel, contractors, and vendors to support projects, upgrades, and repairs; provide technical expertise and guidance as needed.
- Participate in training, meetings, and initiatives to stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in engineering, HVAC, or related fields preferred.
- Current Stationary Engineer's License or relevant technical certifications as required by local regulations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building operations, facilities maintenance, or a similar role.
