The key responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Responsibilities Support timely monthly financial close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, managing accruals, performing bank reconciliations and maintaining operational management accountsPerform general accounting tasks across various areas such as cash accounts, prepaid accounts, taxes, travel and expenses, and other functions as assignedContribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce redundancies, and strengthen internal controls through tools and automationPrepare and analyze financial reports, collecting, summarizing, and identifying trends in account informationCollaborate across all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to ensure an accurate and timely month-end closeSupport audit activities and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerAssist in gathering information for tax return preparationProvide professional, timely customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholdersPerform other accounting-related duties as assignedQualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent certification3-5 years of relevant accounting experienceStrong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independentlyProficient computer skills including solid working knowledge of ExcelDemonstrates ethical behavior and professionalism at all timesMust be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screeningMust be eligible to work in the USPreferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in corporate/general ledger function or combination with public accountingSolid understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, and GAAPExperience supporting cost accounting and manufacturing operations, with working knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and related variance analysisKnowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plusCollaborative team player with a proactive work style that enhances team-oriented environmentExcellent communication skills, with ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levelsHigh level of motivation, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detailExperience in a manufacturing, consumer-packaged goods (CPG), or a private equity portfolio companyEssential Functions Must be able to relay accurate information via multiple communication channels, including verbal and written mechanismsAbility to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hoursAbility to operate a computer and other office technologyAbility to observe details at close rangeOccasionally travel for work up to 5% of the timeBenefits 401K matchingMedicalDentalVisionShort Term DisabilityLong Term DisabilityHSA & FSAPet InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramReferral ProgramAnd more!Ethos is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
