Working directly with the project MEP Superintendent conducting field inspections, progress updates, assisting with document control, equipment inspections, vendor coordination, and supporting the equipment startup and commissioning process.ResponsibilitiesMaintain adherence to HITT's standards of safetyAssist bidding mechanical and electrical tradesEnsure that required documentation is filedAssist in conducting project meetings and record minutesCollaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the projectAssist in developing an MEP critical path scheduleUpdate project schedule, establish overall project logisticsAssist in coordinating and tracking critical path construction and startup activitiesReview mechanical and electrical submittalsTrack and coordinate equipment deliveriesAssist MEP Manager to provide conflict resolution for MEP issuesAssist in coordinating and managing the quality control process for MEP systems constructionAssist in managing startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systemsAssist coordinating and supporting third party commissioning activitiesManage commissioning documentationAssist in managing the closeout processQualificationsHigh school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.2-5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractorPassion for construction industryAbility to recognize and seek qualityStrong communication skills; verbal and writtenStrong leadership skills; able to build and lead a teamAptitude for problem solvingAbility to work independentlyMotivated self-starterEffectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of dutiesWillingness to travelHITT Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
