Sales Staffing Specialist

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Sales Staffing Specialist to join our team in the dynamic and fast-paced Houston industrial trades sector. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships, sourcing and recruiting skilled tradesmen, and providing staffing solutions to meet the needs of our industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industrial trades market, excellent sales skills, and the ability to match qualified candidates with top employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with industrial clients to understand their workforce needs. Regularly communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and to identify new staffing opportunities.
  • Sales & Business Development: Actively pursue new business opportunities within the industrial trades market. Meet and exceed sales targets by selling staffing solutions to clients in sectors like construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, and more.
  • Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, and recruit qualified tradesmen such as welders, electricians, carpenters, pipefitters, and laborers. Ensure that candidates meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate staffing agreements, rates, and terms with clients and contractors. Ensure that both parties are aligned on expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and emerging opportunities. Provide clients with insights into competitive pay rates, talent availability, and market shifts.
  • Job Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely and efficient placement of candidates, managing all aspects of the hiring process from interview to onboarding. Handle scheduling and logistics as required.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all staffing placements comply with industry regulations and safety standards. Verify certifications and conduct background checks as needed.
  • Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, placements, and client interactions. Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the progress of staffing projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales or recruiting experience, preferably within the industrial or trades staffing industry. A background in sales within construction, manufacturing, or skilled trades is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Houston industrial workforce and skilled trades market.
  • Ability to source, interview, and place skilled trades candidates quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet business goals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred, but not required based on experience.
  • Certifications: Certifications in staffing or recruitment (e.g., Certified Staffing Professional) are a plus.
  • Additional: Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the Houston area to meet clients, conduct interviews, and attend job fairs or industry events as needed.
