The QA Technician is responsible for assisting with product reclamation and re-allocation of Vallourec Star, controlled material located on the facility premises. Duties include evaluation and disposition of aged and/or suspect products, the performance of reclamation processing, and modification of product markings to ensure that all material meets requirements. Can be utilized to assist with any Quality situations where additional resources are needed to make material compliant for shipment to the next customer both internal and external.
Key responsibilities include completing assigned Quality Wall Final Acceptance inspections, completing stock allocation requests, physically evaluating material against API, internal, and customer requirements as requested, downgrading material to NSFR and VS35, and assisting with Quality issues both at Sheldon and Miller Rd facilities.
Experience, skills, and knowledge required include computer skills, including proficiency with Excel/Smart Sheets and Outlook, and the ability to learn new applications. Good communication and team-building skills are also necessary.
Education, training, and certifications include ASNT certification desirable.

Safety and working conditions include observing safety rules and wearing required safety equipment while on the job, following at all times what is known to be a safe practice, noise may at times be to a high degree, work for extended periods of time in ambient temperature ranges from 0 to 120 degrees F, duties performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements, may occasionally be required to perform duties in a confined space, and some exposure to vibrating tools.
