divh2Rodbuster Helper/h2pThe Rodbuster Helper will assist skilled craftsperson(s) by performing supportive duties as directed and will work under immediate supervision. Often performs runner functions within crew, and assists in the layout and measuring of materials for installation. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment. Will be required to work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting./ppResponsibilities:/ppWill assist The Rodbuster/Rodbuster Foreman with:/pulliSpacing and fastening together rods in forms according to blueprints using wire and pliers; positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables or mesh in concrete forms using fasteners and hand tools/liliPlacing blocks under rebar to hold the bards off the deck/liliBending steel rods with hand tools and rodbending machines/liliCutting and fitting wire mesh or fabric using hooked rods and positioning fabric or mesh in concrete to reinforce concrete/liliCutting rods to required lengths using metal shears, hacksaws or bar cutters/liliAssist other craft workers as needed/li/ulpQualifications:/ppPhysical:/pulliMust be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., but may occasionally push/pull, lift, or carry up to 100 lbs./liliSubject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs/liliHand/eye coordination/liliMust be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform work/liliWill need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work/liliMay operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all types with proper training and authorization/liliClimb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds/liliRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis/liliPosition may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing /pulling, or standing and lifting/liliMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc./liliMay be required to work in confined spaces/liliWill be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)/li/ulpMental:/pulliMust have the ability to communicate effectively with management/supervision/liliWork at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractions/liliDecision making skills necessary/liliDetail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe details/li/ul/div
