The Team
Black & Veatch's Infrastructure Advisory Business provides a portfolio of solutions focused on the asset lifecycle, including Asset Management & Operations & Maintenance, Infrastructure Technology, Cybersecurity Solutions, Planning and Transactions. In this role you will be part of the Delivery Team supporting Solutions.
The Opportunity
Black & Veatch is seeking an exceptional professional to join our Infrastructure Advisory organization as a Manager to deliver strategic asset management projects for our clients, with a focus on asset investment planning for electric utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with gas and electric utilities to develop asset investment plans, utilizing industry-leading tools and models to optimize capital investments through assessment of risks and benefits, and development of value models.
- Deliver innovative solutions to address clients' most pressing issues, including aging infrastructure, optimizing asset investments, improving data management and decision making, and enhancing organizational capabilities.
- Serve as the project manager on asset investment plan projects. Orchestrate tasks, coordinate resources, and manage schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Provide asset management technical subject matter expertise on projects, apply asset management best practices and detailed knowledge of electric T&D assets and utility operation and maintenance, and recommend solutions to clients.
- Use expertise to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights, identify trends, opportunities and risks, review alternatives and develop solutions.
- Lead client meetings and workshops, develop presentations and communicate effectively with clients.
- Support business development activities, and lead development of scopes, schedules and budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Professional Engineer License
- IAM Certificate in Asset Management
- Consulting experience with electric utilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
- Typically 7+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.
- Demonstrated experience in electric utility engineering, operations and maintenance.
Certifications
Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
Band V Office Environment or Client Site – Travel up to 100%
