Electrical Systems Business Development Manager

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Electrical Switchgear and VFD Systems Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, building client relationships, and closing sales of low, medium, or high-voltage electrical switchgear products and solutions. This role combines technical expertise with a strong sales acumen to meet customer needs and achieve revenue goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with new and existing clients in industrial, oil & Gas, utility, and construction sectors.
  • Understand our customer needs and propose suitable switchgear, VFD Drive solutions, including custom and standard offerings.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Work with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure accurate quoting and delivery of equipment.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales deals.
  • Track sales pipeline and maintain accurate records.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the company's products.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, UL), and competitors' products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment sales, preferably switchgear, MCCs, or power distribution systems.
  • Solid understanding of electrical switchgear and VFD systems (LV/MV/HV), protection relays, breakers, and distribution equipment.
  • Proven track record of sales success and customer account management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic technical drawing tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.

In addition, you must have:

  • Experience working with EPCs, contractors, consultants, or utility companies.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SAP, or switchgear design tools.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC).
  • Willingness to travel up to 30–50% of the time. Be in front of customers
