About the Role

We are partnering with an established B2B marketing and advertising agency to find a Senior Account Manager who can take the lead on high-value, geographically diverse client accounts. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will own the relationship with senior client stakeholders, shape the direction of integrated marketing campaigns, and make sure the work that goes out the door actually moves the needle for the business. You will also be a steady hand on commercial health, championing growth opportunities and keeping budgets profitable across complex programs.


You will work alongside a global Client Services team, a creative and delivery team, and a Head of Client Services who you report into. The work is fast moving, the clients are sophisticated, and the standard is high. What You Will Own

Day to day, you will:

  • Serve as the primary client point of contact, working closely with internal and external teams to deliver against client objectives.
  • Build a deep understanding of each client's business goals and translate that into strategic marketing plans that actually fit their world.
  • Lead long-term client relationships and manage strategic interactions across senior stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance, surfacing opportunities for growth and improvement in their marketing efforts.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies and uncover new opportunities.
  • Oversee quality assurance across all client deliverables and lead compliance initiatives that meet both client and industry standards.
  • Champion innovative approaches to client challenges and bring fresh thinking to the table.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, with clear insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop and present comprehensive proposals and presentations to clients.
  • Create and execute account growth strategies for existing clients.
  • Manage complex budgets across multiple accounts. Run regular budget checks, keep the finance team in the loop, and proactively manage billing plans, POs, and invoicing in Kantata.
  • Partner with the Traffic Manager and delivery team to make sure timelines, schedules, and client requirements stay aligned.
  • Support the business development team in shaping new opportunities, and provide guidance to junior team members.


What You Bring

Essential

  • A degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of account management experience inside a marketing or advertising agency. This is a hard requirement.
  • A track record of successfully managing high-profile client accounts and delivering measurable results.
  • Significant project management experience and strong client relationship management chops.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing, and advertising strategy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. You can hold the room with a senior client and translate strategy clearly inside the agency.
  • Strategic thinker with sharp problem-solving instincts and the ability to manage multiple programs at once.
  • Strong commercial and financial skills. You know how to allocate resources, protect margin, and keep budgets healthy.
  • Comfortable mentoring and developing more junior team members.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred

  • B2B marketing experience.
  • Energy industry experience (oil and gas, renewables, energy services, industrial sectors).
  • Business development experience.
  • Familiarity with Kantata (or similar agency project and resource management tools).
