Why This Role Exists
This role exists to support continued growth in aerospace and defense machining programs that require high-precision turned components. At H&H Machining Center, this position is critical to maintaining quality and delivery performance on tight-tolerance, flight-critical parts where machining expertise and consistency directly impact program success.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will set up, operate, and program CNC turning centers including Doosan PUMA 2600SY and similar machines, taking parts from raw stock through finished production. You will write and edit Fanuc CNC programs directly at the machine control while selecting tooling, establishing workholding, and optimizing speeds and feeds for both new and repeat jobs.
You will read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements while holding tight tolerances of ±0.0005” or better on aerospace-grade materials. You will perform in-process inspection using precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM systems. You will also troubleshoot machining issues such as chatter or dimensional variation and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
