Description:

AmericaStrategic Integrated Energy Solutions Architect

Shape the future of clean energy in America

Are you passionate about designing innovative energy solutions and driving energy transition? Join Baker Hughes' Clean Power Solutions (CPS) team and play a key role in bringing integrated, low‑carbon energy technologies to market.

Partnering with the Best

As an America Strategic Integrated Energy Solutions Architect, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Proposal Management, and external partners to shape integrated energy solutions for utilities, IPPs, hyperscalers, data‑center developers, and large‑scale energy users. You will help drive alignment across technical, commercial, and strategic teams to deliver solutions that are competitive, reliable, and future‑ready.

Fueling Your Passion

This role accelerates the energy transition by enabling you to architect innovative, low‑carbon, and integrated energy systems. You will design geothermal, CHP, heat pump, synchronous condenser, long‑duration storage, and hybrid power solutions tailored to the growing demands of the American market—including high‑load applications such as data centers. Your work will influence project feasibility, customer value creation, and Baker Hughes' strategic growth in clean energy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and cross‑functional teams to originate, shape, and win integrated energy projects across America, including data‑center related power solutions.
  • Deliver customer‑centric solutions in geothermal, synchronous condensers, heat pumps, combined heat and power, long‑duration energy storage, and integrated energy systems for data‑center power and infrastructure needs.
  • Engage with existing and new customers—including data‑center developers, hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and IPPs—to create demand, build value propositions, and increase market penetration.
  • Translate customer requirements such as power availability, redundancy, scalability, grid interaction, and electrical reliability into competitive integrated solutions.
  • Define the technical architecture of integrated systems, including the electrical balance of plant, to optimize project LCOE/LCOH/LCOS and overall performance.
  • Build, manage, and prioritize a strong opportunity pipeline while supporting product and commercial strategy definition.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Proposal Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and external partners to deliver effective, customer‑aligned solutions.
  • Act as a thought leader and ambassador for Baker Hughes at customer meetings, events, and industry forums.

Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience in integrated energy solutions, power generation systems, geothermal (ORC/STG), heat pumps, combined heat and power, or long‑duration energy storage.
  • Strong technical background in process design, turbomachinery (GTs, STGs, compressors, turboexpanders), electrical distribution equipment, heat‑exchanger selection, and system integration.
  • Working knowledge of utilities, IPPs, and electricity markets, with exposure to product proposal management and/or project development for high‑load customers such as data centers.
  • Ability to assess project economics (CAPEX, OPEX, LCOE/LCOH/LCOS) and support commercial decision‑making.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proactive approach to originating demand and building customer relationships.
  • Confidence working in complex, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Self‑starter and leader capable of managing complexity, prioritizing effectively, and driving results.

Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package supporting your wellbeing and career growth, including:

  • Career development and learning opportunities
  • Medical and wellness benefits
  • Financial and retirement programs
  • Additional voluntary benefits

You will be eligible to participate in company‑sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare plans and the Thrift Plan (401k). Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections and base salary level.
