Application Engineer Location: Billerica, MA area Job Summary: This role is responsible for translating customer technical requirements into product specifications, designing and validating new features, and developing custom mechanical components. It also includes maintaining technical documentation, providing on-site support, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful product implementation. Key Responsibilities: Gather and interpret customer mechanical, electrical, and software requirements Define internal specifications for new hardware and software features Test and validate product features to ensure alignment with customer expectations Develop product concepts, simulations, and custom mechanical designs Provide on-site system integration support and customer training Respond to customer inquiries and resolve product performance and reliability issues Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, presentations, and release notes Develop project plans and timelines; participate in cross-functional team meetings Required Skills: Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks), MS Office, Adobe Suite, Python, and XML Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation Effective problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills Professional, team-oriented, and customer-focused approach Additional Requirements: Approximately 20% travel, including domestic and international (Asia) Education: BS or MS in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (robotics/mechatronics preferred) Salary range, $95,000- $130,000 Itis the policy of GCR to provide equal opportunity to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran or disabled status, or genetic information.GCR is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and embraces diversity in our employee population.
