OverviewThis Staff Engineer position is responsible for full stack software development on OrderAi, our AI-powered voice and text ordering product. An ideal candidate has experience in creating customer-focused products backed by LLMs, including both text and real-time voice interfaces. You must be able to contribute at any point in the full development cycle from the identification of system requirements and enhancements, coding the system to address these requirements, testing the system for quality control, releasing system changes, and documentation of system changes. You are expected to help shape and guide a positive engineering culture. Staff Engineers are also expected to understand and anticipate broader business needs so that they can be partners with other non-technical departments.HungerRush is transitioning to a new era where AI plays a central role in how we work. We're looking for engineers who are excited to be part of this transformation and who want to innovate, adapt quickly, and help us build a culture that thrives on intelligent automation and efficiency.This is a remote role.Essential Responsibilities and DutiesCollaborate with HungerRush teams to design, develop, and support existing as well as create new functionality and applications with a focus on LLM-powered featuresWrite high quality code following best practices and standards for coding, compliance, security, and performanceContribute to software development with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality, implementation, and cultureUtilize the latest advances in AI software development to improve effectiveness of delivering business valueMentor software engineersHelp troubleshoot issues and identify bug fixesQualificationsExtensive professional experience, recommended 10+ yearsDemonstrated ability to work individually as well as part of a teamDemonstrated success delivering SaaS, E-Commerce, or consumer-facing applications/APIsDeep experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (Azure preferred), and modern architecturesStrong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including C# and Azure.Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server and Postgres.Experience with Queues, Caches, CDN's, and other technologies used for building scalable applicationsExperience with LLM prompt and context engineering, evals, and other techniques for building LLM-backed products is preferredAdditional DetailsThis position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship, either now or in the future.
