This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team driving meaningful change in a dynamic, global industry.The role requires designing and developing engaging, technically accurate, and translation-friendly training materials that align with a defined competency framework. You will own both the instructional design and the full content development of eLearning and instructor-led training materials, including narration scripts, screen text, learner prompts, and assessments.Key Responsibilities:Analyze existing materials and align training content to the approved competency framework developed by the learning analystDesign instructional strategies and define content structure, sequencing, and learning approaches appropriate for technical learnersWrite and develop full instructional content, including narration scripts, onscreen text, activities, knowledge checks, and assessmentsCreate detailed storyboards with proposed visuals, voiceover scripting, interaction logic, and accessibility considerationsAuthor all content using translation-friendly writing practices, avoiding idioms, cultural references, and ambiguity to support global deliveryCollaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), QA reviewers, and stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and alignment to competency requirementsMaintain version control and high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all training materialsEnsure content is clear, concise, and accessible for both native and non-native English speakersStart Date: Continuous recruitment to support ongoing needs; individual start dates will be determined based on project requirements.Duration: 6 months with the possibility to extendHours: Up to 40 hours per week; hours will be determined based on project needsLocation: VirtualRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in instructional design and content development for adult learners, with a focus on technical or operational audiencesAt least 2–3 years of experience designing and developing training for the oil & gas industry or a closely related sector (e.g., utilities, petrochemical, industrial manufacturing)Proven experience writing and developing instructional content for eLearning and instructor-led training (ILT), preferably in technical domainsStrong writing skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and learner-centered contentDemonstrated ability to write content optimized for translation and global use, including tone neutrality, consistent terminology, and reduced ambiguityExperience creating training for technical and safety-critical roles (e.g., field technicians, operators, maintenance personnel)Expertise in adult learning principles, curriculum design, and competency-based educationProficient in Articulate 360 (Storyline)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and WordExperience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, iterative development environmentA strong portfolio of instructional design and writing samples is requiredAbility to work exclusively on a PC throughout the project is required.NOTE: 100% Virtual PositionsDue to the nature of this virtual position, we anticipate a high number of responses from interested applicants.
