Financial Advisory Senior AI Solution Architect (Nationwide, Remote)

  2026-05-04     Huron Consulting Group     Houston,TX
Description:

Position SummaryHuron's Business Advisory practice is building an applied AI capability to automate and enhance core restructuring workflows. This new position will design, build, and deploy AI‑powered solutions that directly support engagement delivery and business development. The role is hands‑on and output‑oriented: writing code, building integrations, and deploying working applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and deploy end‑to‑end AI applications that automate structured professional workflows, including document processing, content generation, data extraction, and programmatic file creation (PowerPoint, Excel).Develop and maintain Python‑based orchestration pipelines that coordinate LLM API calls, document parsing, external system integrations, and formatted output generation.Build multi‑agent architectures for complex tasks requiring specialized, parallelized processing (e.g., quality control across formatting, numerical accuracy, grammar, and narrative consistency dimensions).Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for context‑aware content selection from internal knowledge repositories.Build and maintain API integrations with enterprise platforms including Seismic, Salesforce, AWS, and Microsoft Azure services.Work within Huron's IT security and data governance framework to ensure all solutions comply with information security policies, particularly given the sensitivity of debtor financial data and court filings.Deploy solutions using approved infrastructure (AWS, Azure, and internal compute environments) and establish CI/CD pipelines, version control, and monitoring for production applications.Embed directly with Financial Advisory professionals and subject‑matter experts to deeply understand their workflows, identify automation opportunities, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.Coordinate with Huron's Digital‑AI team on platform approvals, architectural standards, and shared infrastructure.Coordinate with parallel AI initiatives in other Huron practices to share learnings and avoid duplicative effort.Coordinate with IT, Salesforce administration, and Seismic administration teams to secure necessary API access, licensing, and technical prerequisites.Document solutions, maintain technical runbooks, and build internal knowledge transfer materials to reduce single‑point‑of‑failure risk.Apply structured process analysis to identify high‑effort, repetitive, or error‑prone activities and redesign them using automation, agentic AI, and workflow orchestration.Own end‑to‑end delivery of AI‑enabled process changes, including requirements definition, solution design, implementation, adoption support, and continuous optimization.Provide delivery leadership across AI initiatives, including prioritization, sequencing of work, and coordination across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Act as a point of accountability for solution outcomes, including realized efficiency gains, scalability, and operational sustainability.Monitor deployed solutions for quality, accuracy, and cost efficiency; tune prompts, chunking strategies, and agent configurations based on production performance data.Stay current on developments in LLM capabilities, agent frameworks, and relevant tooling, evaluating and recommending adoption of new tools or approaches.Identify additional automation opportunities within the practice and propose new initiatives with scoped business cases.Required Qualifications8–12 years of professional experience in software engineering, AI/ML application development, or a closely related technical role with demonstrated production deployments.Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with API development, data processing pipelines, and file generation libraries (e.g., python‑pptx, openpyxl).Hands‑on experience building applications that consume LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or similar), including prompt engineering, structured output parsing, and context window management.Experience with document processing: PDF parsing, OCR, text extraction from structured and semi‑structured documents.Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and/or Microsoft Azure. Experience deploying applications, databases (OpenSearch, SQL), and LLM services within enterprise cloud tenants.Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and production deployment workflows.Strong written and verbal communication skills. This role requires translating between technical implementation details and business stakeholder language on a daily basis.Demonstrated resilience and patience in navigating complex organizational environments; building trust with senior professionals, managing ambiguity, working through internal processes, and persisting through friction.Preferred QualificationsExperience in financial services, professional services, or consulting environments; understanding of restructuring, leveraged finance, or capital markets workflows.Experience with Salesforce API integration and/or Salesforce development (Apex, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs).Experience building multi‑agent or agentic AI systems (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom orchestration frameworks).Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure Cognitive Search), and embedding‑based retrieval systems.Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) for enterprise workflow automation and dashboarding.Experience with Seismic or similar enterprise content management platforms and their APIs.Background in data visualization, dashboard design, or business intelligence tooling.Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, OpenSearch, Bedrock, S3) in addition to or in lieu of Azure experience.Experience coordinating with or managing external technology vendors and contract engineering teams.Clarifying Notes on ScopeThis role is not a research position; it focuses on applied deployment of existing AI capabilities to solve defined business problems. Candidates whose primary interest is model training, fine‑tuning, or foundational research may find the role too operationally focused. This role is also not a general‑purpose IT or data engineering position. While the person will interact with enterprise systems, the core of the work is building AI‑powered workflow automation tools for a specific practice, not managing infrastructure or supporting enterprise‑wide IT operations. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time writing code, building integrations, testing outputs, and iterating with end users.Salary and BenefitsBase salary range: $165,000 – $215,000. Eligible for Huron's annual incentive compensation program. Total estimated compensation range: $214,500 – $279,500. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) with generous employer match, employee stock purchase plan, generous PTO, paid parental leave, adoption assistance, Wellness Program, and other wellness initiatives.EEO StatementHuron is fully committed to providing equal employment opportunity to job applicants and employees in recruitment, hiring, employment, compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, training, and all other terms and conditions of employment.
