Job Title: Security Engineer (Enterprise Security & SIEM) Overview / Summary: The Security Engineer will support the Division of Information Security (DIS) within the Department of Administration. This role assists security architects and engineering staff with the implementation, integration, and operationalization of enterprise security technologies and programs. The position involves hands-on technical support across multiple security domains and contributes to the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of secure systems and services. Preference is given to candidates who can work onsite as needed. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, design, deployment, and operational support of enterprise security platforms, including SIEM, XDR, Vulnerability Management, DLP, and Security Awareness tools Support development and maturation of the enterprise Vulnerability Management Program, including scanning, reporting, remediation tracking, and metrics Build, deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based security sensors and endpoint monitoring tools Integrate and automate security and enterprise IT tools using scripting and orchestration technologies Collaborate with security architects to design and implement enterprise security solutions aligned with business goals, regulatory requirements, and risk tolerance Design, deploy, and manage countermeasures for known and emerging security threats Ensure consistent application and validation of security controls across infrastructure and applications Support incident detection and response through monitoring, log analysis, and reporting Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures Perform additional duties as required in support of the Division of Information Security Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field (or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) 5+ years of experience supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise security tools (SIEM, XDR, Vulnerability Management, DLP, endpoint security) 5+ years of experience developing automation and integrations using scripting languages such as Python and Bash Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture and engineering principles Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, threat detection, and defensive security strategies Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, including system hardening and security configuration Understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and secure system design What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your Future HTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
