With a nationwide footprint and opportunities for growth across multiple locations and disciplines, SPL is a place where you can build a career while making a real-world impact.We're seeking a high-impact Director of Sales to lead, structure, and accelerate growth across our energy, petroleum testing and measurement services, including hydrocarbon analysis, fuels and lubricants testing, flow assurance, and custody transfer measurement.This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, building and scaling a high-performing sales team, and expanding SPL's presence across oil & gas markets. You will lead and develop the team, own go-to-market execution, and play a critical role in shaping our commercial strategy, market positioning, and long-term growth. You will operate at both a strategic and execution level to identify high-value opportunities, strengthen key client relationships, and build the structure, discipline, and accountability needed to win in a highly technical, performance-driven industry.What You'll DoLead, coach, and develop the sales team to consistently exceed revenue, pipeline, and sales targetsTranslate strategy into clear sales plans, forecasts, and measurable performance outcomesDrive pipeline generation, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined sales execution across energy laboratory and measurement servicesIdentify and prioritize high-value opportunities, key accounts, and strategic growth initiatives across oil & gas marketsEnsure revenue growth aligns with pricing strategy, profitability, and strong deal executionExecute go-to-market strategy across petroleum testing, fuels and lubricants analysis, hydrocarbon analysis, flow assurance, and liquid/gas measurement servicesDevelop and implement territory and account strategies to grow product quality, custody transfer, blending, and measurement-related businessBuild and scale sales processes, CRM (Salesforce) utilization, pipeline management, and reporting disciplineParticipate in the hiring, onboarding, and development of a high-performing sales teamCoach and develop team members in technical solution selling, deal strategy, and closing new businessPartner cross-functionally with operations, laboratory teams, client services, and marketing to align on capabilities and drive growthProvide market insight to strengthen service positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer experienceLead the build and scale of a high-performing energy sales organization across oil & gas marketsPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with 3–5+ years in a sales leadership role within oil & gas, petroleum testing, laboratory services, or technical/industrial industriesStrong understanding of hydrocarbon analysis, fuels and lubricants testing, flow assurance, and custody transfer measurement services preferredProven experience managing complex sales cycles and high-value client relationshipsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), LinkedIn, and sales outreach platformsWhat We OfferCompetitive base compensation + performance-based incentivesMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid life, AD&D, and disability insuranceGenerous paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition reimbursement and professional developmentSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, remote positionAbility to work outside of scheduled hours as needed to meet business needsFrequent in-territory travel by car, including extended periods of sittingFrequent overnight travel (approximately 40-50%) for regional meetings, client engagements, or industry eventsOur Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
