The primary responsibilities include communicating with clients, developing legal strategies, and assisting the supervising attorney with case management. As an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to stay informed about client matters, maintain and build relationships with clients, prepare legal documents, and attend hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain 35 billable hours per week.Complete tasks as assigned by your supervising attorney in a timely manner.Research legal issues.Draft pleadings.Draft motions.Ensure statutory deadlines are properly complied with.Attend and participate in hearings, mediations, and/or arbitrations as needed.Assist with other tasks as assigned by your supervising attorney.Stay informed on client matters and assist in maintaining client communication and relationships.Promptly respond to client communications (typically within 24 hours).Prepare for strategy meetings with the supervising attorney as scheduled.In strategy meetings, know the facts of the case, procedural status, upcoming hearings or deadlines, docket control orders, trial dates, and whether the case is set for bench or jury trial.Discuss strengths and weaknesses of the case and identify focus areas to litigate efficiently.Continuously evaluate cases to ensure the client is in the best position to reach their goal.Maintain knowledge of legal developments, including completion of continuing legal education requirements.Position Requirements / QualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong research, analytical, and critical‑thinking abilities.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.Ability to function well in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Bachelor's degree (Juris Doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school).Active license to practice law and/or membership in the State Bar of Texas.3–7 years of experience.Ability to lift 15 pounds.ScheduleWorking hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.Company InformationCompany infoThe Cromeens Law Firm#J-18808-Ljbffr
