JOB SUMMARY This role focuses on engineering projects related to capacity additions and the mechanical aspects of line installations and debugging within a manufacturing environment. The position involves leading and participating in manufacturing engineering projects, providing mechanical expertise to identify and solve technical problems, and leveraging mechanical engineering knowledge to improve equipment and process performance. Responsibilities include supporting or leading new equipment introductions, developing and executing project plans for mechanical support of multi-line equipment installations, and collaborating with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues. The role requires working across various functional groups daily to achieve project goals. Key Responsibilities • Maintain safe work practices and inform team members of hazardous conditions. • Design and implement mechanical solutions and process changes to enhance manufacturing equipment capability. • Manage activities to meet milestone and timeline objectives for successful capacity additions. • Solve mechanical and process issues through data analysis, experience, and collaboration with subject matter experts. • Manage spare part identification and storeroom entry, noting available spares within a two-plant footprint. • Develop and update engineering and operations documentation. • Support training for the operations workforce regarding equipment or operational changes. • Provide mechanical discipline to proactively identify technical problems through root cause understanding and robust solutions during line debug and installs. • Leverage knowledge of mechanical engineering, machining, and designing processes to improve equipment and manufacturing process performance. • Support or lead new equipment/process introductions and improvement opportunities. • Support the development and execution of project plans for timely mechanical support of multi-line equipment installations. • Work alongside vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues impacting scope, timing, and cost metrics. Required Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience in new equipment installations within a manufacturing environment. • Experience with new equipment installations and project expansions. • Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. • Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly. • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills. • Strong technical fundamentals with mechanical engineering skills. • Proficient with CAD and Inventor/Solidworks. • Experience with equipment design. • Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently in a fast-paced project install manufacturing environment. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization. • Ability to work and effectively collaborate within a team. • Able to shift tasks quickly. • Able to prioritize and multitask. • Communicate effectively both verbally and written. Preferred Qualifications • Project leadership/management experience, including milestone management and financial ownership. • Experience in vendor/supplier management, both on-site and off-site. • Experience with mechanical equipment and systems interactions. • Proficient with PC software including Microsoft Office Suite. • Detail-oriented and able to perform with limited supervision. • Ability to allocate/supervise resources to accomplish aggressive project milestones and timelines within specification and costs. • BS in Engineering. • Extensive experience will be considered for candidates without a BS in Engineering. • Start-up experience is a plus. Education: Bachelors Degree
