Position responsible for the preparation and packaging of surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization utilizing principles of Standard Precautions and utilizing Principles of Event Related Sterility. Job Description. Minimum Qualifications. Education: High School Diploma or GED - Licenses/ Certifications: Certification in Sterile Processing preferred. Experience / Knowledge / Skills:Minimum of one (1) year experience in sterile processing department or certificate of completion from a sterile processing course or one (1) year of related surgical services experience. Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English language. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to lift and/or maneuver supplies and equipment in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions. Ability to perform basic computer skills.
