Position summary This position is responsible for reviewing and processing a high volume of paperless expense report submissions for attorneys and support staff, ensuring compliance with the firm's disbursement policies. This role utilizes Emburse Enterprise to enter and process information within the accounting system and supports payment processing across various accounts payable functions. Job duties and responsibilities Maintain a strong understanding of travel and expense policies and procedures Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with firm policy Examine charge codes, including cost centers and client matter numbers Analyze expenses for foreign tax (VAT/TVA) implications Educate internal users on the expense reimbursement system Process and reimburse expenses using the accounts payable system Respond to daily inquiries from internal clients in a professional manner Support additional accounting and accounts payable functions as needed Collaborate within a team environment to meet departmental goals Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred Experience Minimum of 2–3 years of accounts payable experience preferred Knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable preferred Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred Skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines Intermediate understanding of database concepts; experience with Elite or similar systems preferred Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional information Supervisory responsibilities None Essential job functions Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring prolonged and/or extensive computer use Ability to use computers, telecommunications, and digital collaboration tools to perform core job responsibilities Ability to communicate effectively Ability to maintain attention to detail while analyzing complex information, managing multiple priorities, and applying sound judgment to decisions Ability to work extended hours as required to meet project, client, or business needs Working conditions In-office role with an expectation of at least four days per week in the office Pay ranges This represents the presently anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location and experience. This is a non-exempt position. The hourly wage range for this role is $24.08 to $25.48, with an estimated annual compensation range of $48,000 to $53,000, based on expected hours.
