In the Education coverage team, this role focuses on mergers, separations, and integration planning for organizations in the education sector, including K‑12, for‑profit and non‑profit higher‑education, skilled trade schools, and other training and development businesses. You will be involved throughout the deal lifecycle, from pre‑deal operational reviews to post‑closing execution.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, supplementing standard assessment techniques with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis, and developing recommendations within the overall engagement.Lead workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, Organizational Design.Drive performance improvement across an enterprise, including strategic planning, operational optimization, back‑office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, and customer/channel management.Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives, adjust integration strategies or people as required.Oversee implementation of recommendations and report progress to clients.Qualifications5–8+ years of professional experience in corporate or consulting roles, ideally in merger integration, business transformation, and/or change management.Experience in the for‑profit education sector and knowledge of its key value drivers.Understanding of trends, trade‑offs and issues in the sector.Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.Demonstrated ability to lead one or more workstreams in business transformation projects.Deep functional expertise in at least one of the following areas:Finance & Accounting operationsHR / Organizational designRole and job analysisLeadership & stakeholder involvementCommunications planning and managementSupply chain / operationsSalesforce effectivenessMarketing optimizationPricing/Margin/Mix optimizationKnowledge management and transferProgram management & leadership experienceChange / communications strategy executionMBA preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsInitiative and driveCritical thinkingFlexibility to travel up to 80% of the timeDesire to work in a fast‑paced, high‑performing professional environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.Benefits SummaryFull‑time and part‑time positions (30+ hours) at A&M offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health plans, flexible spending/savings accounts, life and disability coverages, a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary contributions, paid time off (vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time, ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, parental leave), and more.
