Description:

Sales Manager - Automation

You will be responsible for selling custom-built automated packaging systems, including Vertical Form Fill Seal technology, into industrial manufacturing environments.

Projects are engineered to customer requirements and involve multiple stakeholders across engineering, operations, and procurement.

This is a field-based, commercially focused role with responsibility for managing sales activity across a defined region.

What You'll Be Doing

You will manage the full sales process across your region:

  • Developing and executing a regional sales plan
  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts
  • Identifying and progressing new project opportunities
  • Leading consultative sales processes from initial contact through to order
  • Conducting site visits to understand customer requirements
  • Preparing and presenting commercial proposals
  • Negotiating commercial terms with customer stakeholders
  • Working with internal teams to support project delivery
  • Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and pipeline activity

This role involves regular travel to customer sites.

What We're Looking For

Experience in technical or automation sales

Experience selling into industrial or manufacturing environments

Understanding of project-based or engineered sales processes

Ability to manage customer relationships and commercial discussions

Strong communication skills with both technical and commercial stakeholders

Ability to manage your own time and sales activity

Experience within packaging automation or Form Fill Seal technology is advantageous.
