Description:

Structural Fitter

This role focuses on fitting and assembling structural steel components for skid-mounted data center racks in a shop environment. You will work as part of a skilled fitting team and are expected to operate independently without a dedicated helper.

Responsibilities

  • Fit and assemble structural steel components, including channels and I-beams, for skid-mounted data center rack systems.

  • Use personal hand tools and measuring devices safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with other first-, second-, and third-class fitters to coordinate work, share information, and maintain production flow.
  • Follow shop safety procedures, including safe operation of tools and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Why Work Here?

You will join a growing operation that is expanding into an advanced product line, offering opportunities to work on technically interesting structural projects. The team structure allows you to collaborate with experienced first-class fitters and support the development of less-experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of learning and skills growth. The shop environment values craftsmanship, precision, and safety, and the shift schedule provides a consistent second-shift routine with additional compensation for working this schedule.

Work Environment

The role is based in a medium-sized fabrication shop with a close-knit team of structural fitters. You will work alongside a group that includes three first-class fitters and four third-class fitters, collaborating on skid-mounted data center rack assemblies. The position is on second shift, typically from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a shift differential added to the base hourly rate.
