Assist special education teachers in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher. Involves working with children who have special needs.

Salary Range: (Based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan):
Minimum: $12.65/hour
Midpoint: $14.63/hour
Salary commensurate with related experience

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Pass formal academic assessment (District will administer), or have an associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning
Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (District will make application to TEA once candidate is selected)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work with adolescent children
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of general office equipment
