Legal Assistant – Litigation

A highly respected boutique litigation firm in Houston is growing and seeking a Legal Assistant to join its collaborative team. This is a great opportunity for a driven, detail‑oriented professional who wants to be part of a hands‑on litigation practice and work closely with experienced attorneys.

About the Firm

The firm focuses on sophisticated litigation matters, including:

• Commercial Litigation (plaintiff & defense)
• Healthcare Litigation
• First‑Party Insurance Claims

Legal Assistants work directly with attorneys and play a key role in keeping cases moving efficiently. Prior experience in these practice areas is helpful but not required.

The Role

• Provide day‑to‑day litigation support to attorneys
• Assist with drafting, formatting, and filing legal documents
• Manage calendars, deadlines, and court filings
• Organize case files and maintain document management systems
• Coordinate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel
• Support trial preparation as needed

This is a true support role, not a clerical or back‑office position—you'll be an important part of the litigation team.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Litigation Assistant preferred
• Exposure to litigation environments a plus (commercial, PI, insurance, healthcare, etc.)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Comfortable working in an onsite, team‑oriented environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $50,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
