Engineering Position

Job Functions And Key Responsibilities:

  • Embody integrity, accountability, initiative, and respect in all correspondence and tasks performed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure State, Federal, and Targa regulations and policies are adhered to within area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Targa's Downstream processing operations.
  • Possess knowledge of codes, standards, regulations and best practices applicable to the midstream industry.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Targa's engineering & construction standards.
  • Pursue continuous improvement of Targa's assets by identifying and managing optimization projects.
  • Provide technical support to operations.
  • Design gas and liquid pipelines, meters, compressor stations, pump stations and oil terminals.
  • Develop, modify and maintain plant process simulations and material & energy balances.
  • Size and specify mechanical equipment.
  • Support development of project scopes, goals and deliverables.
  • Support development of scope of work for-bid packages.
  • Support area projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Participate in review of project cost estimates & scope.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Essential Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from 4-year accredited University.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to interface effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regular and reliable attendance; willingness to travel.
  • Proficient in processing model software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Understand basic project economic and finance metrics.

Physical Demands And Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.
  • Ability to work in close quarters.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
