CGI is looking for a Director of Business Development to play a key role on the leadership team in our Houston, TX office. This person will be driving new business through building and fostering new client relationships with business and technical executives in the Houston marketplace. Your future duties and responsibilities include: representing CGI in the Houston Technology community through active participation and leadership in local technology organizations; leading local marketing efforts including organizing CGI participation in local conferences and technology community events; working with internal stakeholders and marketing staff to develop new solutions and marketing initiatives; prospecting for new potential clients, developing relationships, and presenting CGI capabilities through calls, email, social media, networking, and in-person contact; identifying new opportunities, actively marketing and selling CGI service solutions, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts within new and growing accounts; maintaining a pipeline of sales opportunities; participating in developing and maintaining account plans to include general account and organization information, decision makers, technologies, and penetration strategy; communicating with clients regarding pricing, scheduling, invoice payments, and other issues and including other CGI staff as appropriate; maintaining up-to-date prospects and client information in appropriate CGI systems; remaining current on CGI services and products, as well as general methodologies and practices, and suggesting new products/services gathered from sales activities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role include: 10 years of experience in new account acquisition and executive management relationship building with a demonstrated track record of success in the technology professional services space; existing relationships with key decision makers in several companies in the Houston metro area, and ability to build key relationships with new client executive buyers (CxOs, SVPs, VPs, etc.) and within CGI; ability to build, execute and maintain new client penetration and development strategies and plans; strong oral and written communication skills; bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, MIS, or related field required, M.B.A. desirable; excellent presentation skills; high attention to detail and ability to learn and understand technical concepts; professional consulting experience is a plus; good problem solving and reading comprehension skills; strong organizational skills; knowledge of IT development processes; industry knowledge in one or more of the following: Manufacturing, Banking and Financial Services, Retail and Consumer Services, and/or Healthcare Providers.

Other information: CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $125,500.00 - $247,100.00.
