Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Sr. Cost Analyst for our manufacturing client to start immediately at $85k-$98k/annually DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role oversees complex cost analyses and audits within the cost accounting function. The position also leads the finance team in implementing a Cost Configurator module within the ERP system to improve cost and margin visibility across operations.

  • Partner with plant leadership to support financial analysis and decision-making for operational efficiency.
  • Oversee implementation and ongoing management of the Cost Configurator module in the ERP system.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve job costing standards through both planned and ad-hoc cost analyses.
  • Ensure work order accuracy related to material usage, labor posting, and variance tracking.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to improve product and process profitability
  • Review and reconcile WIP and clearing accounts, adjusting as needed.
  • Support annual budget and rolling forecasts, including labor, headcount, and production expenses.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and support to production teams.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly work-in-progress (WIP) performance with plant leadership.
  • Verify accuracy of cost-related data (purchased parts, routing, overhead rates, labor rates).
  • Prepare and analyze month-end reports, including variance analysis and operational performance metrics.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX requirements related to WIP, inventory reconciliation, and internal controls.
  • Review balance sheet and P&L accounts, resolve discrepancies, and provide detailed variance explanations.
  • Perform additional analysis and reporting duties as needed.

Location: Houston, TX

  • Occasional domestic travel required.
  • Two hybrid days allowed during the week (not Monday or Friday)

Schedule/Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Accounting or Finance preferred).
  • Must have a strong background in the manufacturing industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is required.
  • Experience with JDE, Hyperion, and SmartView is a significant plus but not mandatory, as long as the candidate is adaptable and willing to learn.
  • Must have experience leading projects from start to completion (describe this in the candidate summary).
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented
  • Solid knowledge of costing and cost system implementation is strongly preferred; the ideal candidate can effectively explain concepts and influence others to adopt new costing processes.
