A fast-growing hedge fund with deep roots in the power & gas markets is seeking a Head of Term Trading to build out a new desk . This is a rare opportunity to lead strategy, execution, and team-building with full ownership of PnL.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and scale the term trading desk.
• Design and execute forward trading strategies.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to optimize forecasting and execution.
• Manage risk frameworks and capital allocation.
• Track market and regulatory developments.

Candidate Profile

• 5–10+ years in power or energy trading; strong term/forward market track record.
• Deep knowledge of forward contracts, hedging, and market fundamentals.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach; comfortable building from scratch.
• Leadership experience, strong quantitative and strategic skills.
