System Technician

NextGen Security, LLC is looking for an experienced electronic security installation technician to join our fast growing and dynamic team.

What you'll be doing:

• Physically installing field cabling and field equipment
• Some system programming
• Project activation and commissioning

*Some travel may be required.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining: electronic access control systems and IP-based video management systems
• Networking and IT knowledge
• Superior problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment
• Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred:

• Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel or similar
• Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, and/or Milestone or similar
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications in Senstar/Optellios, and/or FFT
• Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementation
• TWIC Cardholder
