Director Of HP Store Category
Job Summary This role is responsible for global category strategy for HP Store, including quarterly 4P planning, assortment and NPI optimization, pricing and competitive insights, forecast stewardship, and process automation. The leader will partner with regional teams to drive commercial performance and 4P execution globally. They role will help HP Store to access new funding streams to fuel growth and developing strategic relationships to deliver mutual goals.
Responsibilities
- Defines and manages HP Stores 4P strategy, ensuring the DGTM organization overall can contribute towards HP's goals of growing consumer profitably and scaling SMB footprint.
- Works closely with Regional leadership and teams to ensure 4P execution aligns with Global strategy, and with Merchandising teams to ensure value messaging and NPI onboarding reflect Global priorities
- Closely collaborate with GBU, RBU and Alliance senior leadership to ensure 4P planning across the HP portfolio aligns to GBU & Commercial goals and maximizes margin performance; and to develop strategic relationships with key partners
- Ensures a unified approach within the organization to using AI & Automation to drive efficiencies across category functions
- Develops short and mid-term plans to achieve market growth, revenue, and operating profit goals.
- Engages with senior management and key stakeholders to communicate category performance, present plans, and seek support for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborates with various internal teams from marketing, sales, and product development to align strategies and ensure effective execution.
- Identifies and addresses potential risks within the category, and implements mitigation strategies.
- Ensures adherence to organization's policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards within the category management function.
- Evaluates and optimizes category strategies and processes to stay competitive in the market.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Minimum 12 years experience, 10 years in leadership in Product Management, Category Management, Business development within the IT industry, ideally with a focus on Commercial PCs and Peripherals
- Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to manage complex business planning, financial modeling, and 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) strategies.
- Regional Expertise: Proven track record navigating the diverse dynamics of Global markets
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to influence executive leadership and alliance partners across time zones
- Experience managing strategic technology or ecosystem partnerships
- Innovation Mindset: Passion for AI-driven transformation and emerging technologies in the workspace.
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $238,000 to $380,800 USD annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
