HVAC Technician

Primary Purpose: Assist with the repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment. Assist with the Facility scheduling of A/C and lighting request. Work schedule M-F 2:30pm to 11:00 pm

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Certificate: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Minimum Experience: None

Special Knowledge and Skills:

Must be able to interrupt written and oral instructions.

Must be able to operate tools and equipment used in assigned department.

Must be able to learn basic fundamentals of trade

Must be able to climb ladders safely

Must have basic computer skills and be able to learn Automated Logics and Inify software programs.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with HVAC projects
• Assist with preventive maintenance projects
• Assist with water treatment programs
• Assist in filter changes
• Pursue schooling in at least one craft or trade.
• Maintain records and reports as assigned
• Care for tools and equipment in assigned departments.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Equipment Used:

Drills, saws, electric lifts, measuring devices, step ladders, extension ladders

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands:

Strenous walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting-over 45 lbs. Responsibilities of the position can cause and require irregular work hours.

Environment:

Work inside and outside

Exposure to hot and cold temperatures

Work in confined spaces

Work with high/low voltage equipment

Work at elevated levels

Work on uneven surfaces
