Here you can make an impact on the world around you and accelerate your career in areas that energize and excite you.Primary PurposeAs an Import Logistics Analyst you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Univar Solutions' import trade activities. This includes customer service, order entry, billing and logistical coordination associated with our companies import activities to North America.Key Deliverables:Sales & Purchase Orders* Manage Sales orders - confirm price, develop quotes, product availability and lead time* Manager Purchase Orders - prepare purchase orders, place orders promptly and liaise with vendors to ensure on time shipping and delivery; coordinate with forwarder, steamship lines, Customs broker and other logistic service providersLogistics Management* Verify and track freight to ensure timely shipping, communicate status and potential delays to internal stakeholders; arrange local delivery and additional services as required; review and create certificates of analysis as appropriate* Resolve shipment issues and nonconformances performing root cause analysis and collaborating with key stakeholders for best outcome* Custom Brokerage & Clearance - obtain, file and provide required documentation for entry, monitor agency clearance(s)Supplier & Vendor Management* Build and sustain long-terms vendor, service provider and internal stakeholder partnershipsOperational Controls* Administrative - receive invoices, approve payments, create and code invoices* Collaborate with colleagues and field personnel to ensure compliance with all government agencies on import productsEducation/Experience/Training:* Bachelor's degree preferred, with preference for concentration in supply chain/logistics, international trade or economics* Min. 5+ years in global / international trade operations, including responsibility for import and/or export for North America locations.
