Responsibilities include maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property, and providing supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience: Completed High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications. Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person. Valid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian's company driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).
Employment Verification: For applicable roles, previous employment must be verified through our background vendor. If any employment cannot be confirmed, candidates may be required to provide proof of employment (such as a pay stubs or W-2s).
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer: Previous work experience with the public in a service setting.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure.
