Responsibilities:

  • Provides installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment or systems
  • Conducts preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Uses the Work Order system to track hours, parts and supplies, and equipment history
  • Maintains adequate stock of consumable parts, cutting tips, cutters, grinding wheels
  • Measures and documents dimensions during operations and maintains machine logbooks
  • Interprets technical drawings and blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of tools
  • Immediately reports all ES&H incidents including injuries, near misses, releases
  • Maintains familiarity, and comply with all corporate and site Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years of related experience troubleshooting and repairs of centrifugal, reciprocating, and other turbo machinery equipment.
  • Proficient use and selection of precision machinist tools
  • Demonstrate ability to install mechanical seals and verify by seal drawing correct installation
  • Understanding of safety issues in a hazardous environment
  • Ability to work overtime hours, and give call-out rotation support
  • Proficient at blueprint reading, planning, and organizing job functions
  • Read mechanical drawings and product manuals to repair equipment
  • Operate a forklift, JLG, or other motorized equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Reciprocating Compressor valve/high-pressure packing replacement and overhaul mechanical experience
  • Experience with the major overhaul on single stage centrifugal pumps, High Speed centrifugal compressors, and steam turbines
  • Capable of performing Laser alignment, reverse alignment, Face and rim alignment, and crank shaft deflection alignment
  • Computer Skills (SAP, MS Word & Excel, database experience)
