Test Department Manager

Foxconn Technology Group, a global leader in electronics manufacturing is seeking a Test Department Manager to lead test process planning and operation, root cause analysis initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Test and Failure analysis Engineers, providing technical guidance, professional development opportunities, and performance management to ensure team excellence.
  • Develop the testing strategy, define hardware/software testing objectives and align with custom timelines, ensure coverage of the full product lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous test and retest yield improvement initiatives using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to achieve the yield goal.
  • Provide expert technical support during New Product Introduction Pilot runs, identifying and resolving potential issues before the mass production phase.
  • Manage testing equipment and laboratory resources, plan procurement and maintenance budgets to avoid equipment idling or shortages.
  • Track industry testing technologies, and promote team tool upgrades and methodological iterations, optimize test process and enhance efficiency
  • Cross-functional collaboration to achieve team objectives, implement sustainable solutions, closed-loop issue improvement

Education and work experience

  1. Successful completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent, plus completion of 4 years of college with a bachelor's degree, plus attainment of a master's degree. Degree required: Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering
  2. 8 to 15 years of work experience in Computer, Communication, and Consumer Electronics industry, with at least 8 years of team management experience.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar disciplines.

  • Proficiency in circuit architecture, testing principles, and parameters mechanisms of chips and electronic components.
  • Proficient with precision testing and analytical instrumentation.
